Coming Out to the Castro
Started in 2003-04, LGBT-Meds Out to the Castro was an immediate success. Since the fall of 2004 Out to the Castro has been a regular event every quarter.

On the 1st or 2nd weekend of the new quarter, LGBT-Meds invites all queer and queer friendly graduate students to explore the Castro neighborhood of San Francisco. Common locations for Out to the Castro include:

Regular attendees have been the Law School, Business School, Chemistry, Engineering, and of course the Medical School.

Special Out to the Castro events take place during orientation week for the new medical students in August each year, on Halloween for the big Castro party, and during Admit Weekend each spring.
